Brigadier General Frank Kendall "Pete" Everest Jr. (1920-2004), was a multi-talented career U.S. Air Force officer who is best remembered as an aeroengineer and test pilot during the 1950's. General Everest was born in Fairmont, West Virginia, in 1920. After he graduated from high school in 1931, he attended Fairmont State College for one year.
