Retired government and military reserve (Navy & Coast Guard). Married with two dogs. One is a mutt ("Patch") my wife Maggie found on the street and the other is a retired greyhound racer ("Bernard"). Two kids, one step-kid. My son Fred Jr., died in 2001 of an accidental alcohol and drug overdose. He served 4 years in the Coast Guard, was attending college, and participating in the Reserves.
