Sir Frederic George Kenyon GBE KCB TD FBA FSA (15 January 1863-23 August 1952) was a British paleographer, biblical and classical scholar. He was the director of the British Museum. He was also the president of the British Academy from 1917 to 1921, and from 1918 to 1952 he was Gentleman Usher of the Purple Rod in the Order of the British Empire. Kenyon was born in London, the son of John Robert Kenyon, Vinerian Professor of English Law at Oxford. Wikipedia
