Gareth McAuley (b. 5 December 1979, Larne) is a Northern Irish footballer who plays for Leicester City. He plays in central defence and received his first caps for the national side on 4 June 2005. He was named in the 2005/2006 season League Two select eleven whilst playing for Lincoln City. Coming from Glenoe outside of Larne and nicknamed Big G, Gareth began his career at Linfield and spent some time in early 2000 on loan at Ballyclare Comrades. Wikipedia
