Mr. Solovey will discuss current technologies and the spent fuel management issues facing the nuclear industry. In particular he will address the evolution and current status of the requirements for containment systems and transport packaging for spent nuclear fuel, as embodied in the ASME Pressure Code, Section II, Division 3, an entirely new section of the code. This will include the duties and responsibilities of the owners, designers and fabricators of such equipment.
