George Albert Smith
George Albert Smith (April 4, 1870 - April 4, 1951) was an influential religious leader and the eighth president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Biographer and historian S. George Ellsworth has called him an example of "Christlike living." Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Smith was the son of John Henry Smith, also an apostle in the LDS Church, and Sarah Farr Smith.
