George W. Sams, Jr. (born c.1946) was the twenty three year old national field marshal of the Black Panther Party who implicated Bobby Seale in the 1969 murder of New York Panther Alex Rackley, suspected of being an informant for the FBI, resulting in the New Haven Black Panther trials of 1970. At the time, suspicion that the FBI had agents infiltrating the Panthers was widespread, and well founded. Wikipedia
