Gernot Heiser (born 1957) is professor for operating systems at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He is also leader of the Embedded, Real-Time and Operating Systems (ERTOS) research program at NICTA. Recently he has founded a company called Open Kernel Labs (OK) where he serves as Chief Technology Officer.
