Gethin Jenkins (17 November, 1980-) is a Welsh rugby union player. He plays for Cardiff Blues. He first played rugby union aged 13 at Beddau RFC based in Pontypridd, starting out as a flanker but was pushed forward into the front row at age 15. He played for the Pontypridd Youth Team and later for Pontypridd, then for Celtic Warriors before signing for the Blues. Despite weighing 18 st 10 lbs, the 24 year old is surprisingly fast.
