Gordon Clapp (born September 24, 1948) is an American actor, best known for playing the role of Detective Greg Medavoy for 12 seasons on the television series "NYPD Blue", winning an Emmy Award in 1998. He has appeared in numerous TV shows, movies (including 4 for his friend director John Sayles), and stage plays. In film, he appeared in "Flags of Our Fathers" as United States Marine Corps General Holland McTyeire "Howlin' Mad" Smith. Wikipedia
