Griselda Gambaro (born Buenos Aires, July 28, 1928) is a major Latin American playwright and novelist. Gambaro worked in accounting and business until she got married and, in her words, her husband 'emancipated' her. She wrote her first play at age 24, since then there have been over 30 further plays, as well as several novels.
