Gulu Lalvani founder and chairman of Binatone, the world’s fourth or fifth largest manufacturer of digital cordless phones. Lalvani, born in Karachi and raised in Bombay, came to Britain as a student. He founded Binatone in 1958 with his brother Partap to import radios from Hong Kong.
