The count Gurvand of Rennes (died 877), was king of Brittany, from 874 to his death. He became ruler of Brittany after the murder of King Salomon, in the name of his wife, a granddaughter of the first King of Brittany, Nominoe, daughter of Erispoe, King of Brittany. His accession was disputed with Pasquitan of Vannes, son in law of King Salomon. He was the father of King Judicael. His daughter married Berengar of Rennes. Wikipedia
