Lieutenant-Colonel Herbert Jones VC OBE, (May 14, 1940 - May 28, 1982), better known as H. Jones, was a posthumous British recipient of the Victoria Cross. Jones was born in Putney to a wealthy family, and attended St Peter's Prep School in Seaford, Sussex and Eton College.
