Hugh Calkins (born 1924) was a member of the Harvard Corporation from 1969 to 1984. He was born in Newton, Ohio in 1924, and he went to Exeter before coming to Harvard. As an undergraduate, he served briefly as president of the "Harvard Crimson" in 1942. He graduated "magna cum laude" in the now-defunct field of mechanical engineering, and joined the United States Air Force and served until 1946. Wikipedia
