Edward Hugh John Neale Dalton, Baron Dalton PC, generally known as Hugh Dalton (26 August 1887 - 13 February 1962) was a British Labour Party politician, and Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1945 to 1947. He was implicated in a political scandal involving budget leaks. He was born in Neath in Wales: his father, Canon John Neale Dalton was chaplain to Queen Victoria and tutor to King George V of the United Kingdom. Wikipedia
