Ilyasah Shabazz is the daughter of the late Malcolm X and Betty Shabazz. She was only two years old and present when her father was assassinated in 1965 at the Manhattan's Audubon Ballroom. The only knowledge her mother gave her about her father was that he was a very important martyred civil rights leader.
