James Tanner (born in Kent 1976?) is a British chef. He currently appears on the BBC programme Ready Steady Cook. After studying hotel management he worked in the kitchens of several well-known restaurants, often with his older brother Chris. He worked his way up through the ranks until he was invited by the Roux brothers to move to the US and work in upstate New York, where he was Chef de Partie at the Lake Placid Lodge. Wikipedia
