Jean Forge is the pen name of Jan Fethke. He was born 26 February 1903 in Oppeln, Silesia, and died 16 December 1980. He was a Pole and worked as a film director (at UFA, with Fritz Lang) and as a successful author. Jan Fethke learned Esperanto in 1919, as one of several brothers Fethke active in Esperanto.
