Jana Bennett OBE is Head of Vision at the BBC. She took up the post in 2006, having previously been Director of Television since April 2002. Previously she had been Executive Vice President and General Manager at Discovery Communications in the USA. Born in Cooperstown, New York State, Bennett moved to Britain in 1969, and first joined the BBC in 1979.
