Earl Jeffrey “Jeff” Wentworth (born November 20, 1940) is a Republican member of the Texas Senate from the 25th District, based about San Antonio to the north. He has been in the Senate since 1993. In 2002, Wentworth had a close primary challenge waged by the then conservative state Representative John Shields of San Antonio, son-in-law of the popular businessman Red McCombs. Wikipedia
