Jiang Weiping is a Chinese journalist and whistleblower, who was jailed in 2000 for violating the State Secrets Law on charges of "subversion." On January 3, 2006, Weping was released after his prison sentence, due to expire in a year, was commuted. In 1999 Jiang wrote articles for the Hong Kong magazine "Qianshao", accusing Bo Xilai, then governor of Liaoning province, of covering up corruption. Bo Xilai is now China's Trade Minister. Wikipedia
