James Scott Eakins (born May 24 1946, in Sacramento, California) is a retired American professional basketball player. A 6'11" center from Brigham Young University, Eakins played eight seasons (1968-1976) in the American Basketball Association as a member of the Oakland Oaks, Washington Caps, Virginia Squires, Utah Stars, and New York Nets. With the Oakland Oaks, he won an ABA championship in 1969. Eakins also represented Virginia in the 1974 ABA All-Star Game. Wikipedia
