Joanna Katz Joanna Katz is a long time resident of Berkeley. She was born in Princeton, New Jersey, the daughter of a college professor and a poetess. She spent her in teens in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has a B.A. in fine arts from the State University of Iowa, Iowa City where she became convinced of the importance of learning the techniques of realistic representation as a foundation on which to build.
