Joe Coleman de Graft (April 21924-November 11978) was a prominent Ghanaian writer, playwright and dramatist who was appointed the first director of the Ghana Drama Studio. Joe Coleman de Graft was born in Cape Coast and in 1953, at the age of 29, became one of the first graduates from the University College of the Gold Coast. That year, he also married Leone Buckle, an accountant from Osu, Accra. They subsequently had three children, Carol, Joseph and Dave. Wikipedia
