Joe's life has always centered around outdoor activities and instruction. He operated a retail and ski instruction business in Jackson, Wyoming. He and his wife Carol managed scuba diving stores and operations in Long Beach and National City, CA. Joe is an instructor for the National Association of Diving Instructors (NAUI) and the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and has published articles in Skin Diver magazine.
