John Doyle (born 1957) is one of the two television critics (along with Andrew Ryan) with Canada's "The Globe and Mail" newspaper. Doyle also covers major football events for the paper. He was born in Nenagh, County Tipperary in Ireland. As a teenager he moved to Dublin before immigrating to Canada in the 1980s. A writer he has written a number of books about his early life in deeply conservative rural Ireland. Wikipedia
