John Gurda is a Milwaukee-born writer and historian. He is one of the most distinguished and prolific historian of the city. He has written 18 books about Milwaukee. One of his works, "The Making of Milwaukee", was filmed by Milwaukee Public Television as a documentary series. He, himself, also narrated the film. Gurda obtained his B.A. in English from Boston College and M.A. in Cultural Geography from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.Wikipedia
