John Hayes ONZM is a New Zealand politician and former diplomat. He currently serves as a member of Parliament. Hayes attended Rongotai College and Lincoln University, gaining a degree in agricultural science. He joined the diplomatic service, and eventually served as High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea and Ambassador to Iran.
