John Schwartz (October 27, 1793-June 20, 1860) was an Anti-Lecompton Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania. John Schwartz was born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, the son of Philip Michael Schwartz and Mary Margaret Schlosser. He received a limited schooling, and at the age of ten years was apprenticed to a merchant in Reading, Pennsylvania. He became a partner at the expiration of his apprenticeship. Wikipedia
