Jörg Schlaich is a German structural engineer. Responsible for the Olympic Stadium, Munich as a partner of Leonhardt & Andrä, he later founded his own firm Schlaich Bergermann und Partner. In 1993, with the roof of the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion in Stuttgart, he introduced the "speichenrad" principle to structural engineering.
