Joseph Irwin France (October 11, 1873 - January 26, 1939) was a Republican member of the United States Senate, representing the State of Maryland from 1917-1923. France was born in Cameron, Missouri and attended the common schools in the area and the Canandaigua Academy in Canandaigua, New York.
