Josh Friedman (born 1967) is an American screenwriter best known as the writer of the 2005 adaptation of H.G. Wells' "War of the Worlds". His most recent screenplay is an adaptation of James Ellroy's book about the Black Dahlia killing titled "The Black Dahlia". Friedman's spec screenplay "Orphan's Dawn", a science fiction epic, is in development at 20th Century Fox, and he is developing a television version of "The Terminator". Wikipedia
