After being voted as the girl most likely to be a model in her high school class she entered a bikini contest and won. Spurred by her success she entered the "Miss Hawaiian Tropic" pageant (which she also won) and she was spotted by Playboy magazine, and then chosen as the Playmate of the Month in August 1997.
