Description:
K'ang Youwei, born in Foshan, Guangdong, was a Chinese scholar, noted calligapher and political reformist. He called for an end to property and the family in the interest of an idealized future Chinese nationalism. K'ang portrayed China's celebrated philosopher Confucius as a reformer and not as many of his contemporaries did, as a reactionary. K'ang argued that the rediscovered versions of the Confucian classics were a forgery, in order to bolster his claims. Wikipedia
