Kerry L. Horn was born in 1958 in Nacogdoches, a fifth generation Texan. Kerry graduated from Nacogdoches High School before receiving his bachelor's degree in Political Science from Stephen F. Austin State University. From there, Horn went on to work in the Texas Senate and for the late Rep. Paul Hilbert. He also worked on George Strake's Republican bid for Lt.
