Kevin Payne
Kevin Payne (born January 12 1972, in Evansville, IN, died March 19 2006 in Evansville IN) was a professional boxer. He died as a result of injuries sustained in a bout against Ryan Maraldo on March 18 2006. Payne had come back from a year-and-a-half layoff to beat Maraldo in their second meeting, an 8-round split decision, that led to Payne being assisted from the ring, and taken to the hospital on a stretcher after the bout.
