Kim Dae-jung (Born December 3, 1925) is a former South Korean president and the 2000 Nobel Peace Prize recipient. He is the first Nobel laureate from Korea A Roman Catholic since 1957, he has been called the "Nelson Mandela" of Asia for his long-standing opposition to authoritarian rule.
