Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar (February 27 1912 - March 10 1999), popularly known in Maharashtra, India and in the larger Marathi community as "Kusumagraj", was a poet, playwright and writer. one of the most important contributors to Marathi literature. He was born in Pune, and was known by his nick name Tatyasaheb, meaning respected big brother.
