| Dr. Schipper earned his Ph.D. in astrophysics, but has devoted his career to earthly problems of transport, energy and environment. He came to EMBARQ , the World Resources Institute (WRI) Center for Sustainable Transport, at its founding in April, 2002, where he is Director of Research.
