Leo Semes received his doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Following graduation he served a one-year fellowship in Primary Care at the Eye Institute of PCO. Dr. Semes then joined the faculty at UAB. Currently, he is associate professor and director of continuing education. He has received AOSA’s excellence in teaching award on three occasions as well UAB President’s award for teaching excellence. main.uab.edu
