Lewis Powell 1907 – Lewis was born September 19, 1907 in Suffolk, Virginia but the family soon moved to Richmond. There Mr. Powell worked for a company that made wooden boxes, a job that eventually brought him great success. Lewis’ mother, Mary, was also ambitious for her son. Mrs. Powell doted on her oldest child, cooking him special meals and even teaching him how to hunt duck and small game.
