Lin Dan (born October 14, 1983, in Longyan (龙岩), Fujian province) is a men's singles badminton player from Fujian, the People's Republic of China. Since 2004, he had been ranked number 1 in the world for two years. As of October 2006, Lin Dan had regained his ranking as #1 in the world, after a short period of being ranked behind Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia. Lin played in the 2004 Summer Olympics, where he lost to Ronald Susilo of Singapore in the early rounds. Wikipedia
