Lionel Ziprin (b. 1925) is a former beatnik poet and gadfly living on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. He is also the grandson of the renowned Orthodox rabbi, Rabbi Nuftali Zvi Margolies Abulafia, who recorded a 15-LP set of Jewish liturgical music in a neighborhood yeshiva during the 1950s with noted ethnomusicologist Harry Smith.
