Dr. Louis Jacobs (b. Manchester, 17 July1920, d. London, 1 July 2006, 5 Tammuz 5766 in the Jewish calendar), was a Masorti rabbi, the first leader of Masorti Judaism (also known as Conservative Judaism) in the United Kingdom, and a leading writer and thinker on Judaism.
