Marc Murphy (born July 19, 1987) is an Australian rules footballer, recruited at number one in the 2005 AFL Draft by the Carlton Football Club Marc is the son of John Murphy, who is a Hall-of-Famer and legend of the Fitzroy Football Club. He was eligible to be taken by the Brisbane Lions under the father-son rule, but declined the offer. Carlton subsequently took him in the draft with the prized first pick (a priority pick). Wikipedia
