Marguerite Duras

Marguerite Donnadieu, better known as Marguerite Duras (April 4, 1914 – March 3, 1996) was a French writer and film director. She was born in Saigon, French Indochina (now Vietnam). Her father having passed on, her mother raised her along with her two other brothers.
