Mark A. Wainberg, O.C., O.Q., Ph.D., (born April 21, 1945) is a Canadian scientist and AIDS researcher. He is the Director of the McGill University AIDS Centre and Professor of Medicine and of Microbiology at McGill University. His most notable achievements is his initial identification of the antiviral capabilities of 3TC in 1989.
