Markus Oscarsson is a Swedish flatwater canoer and reigning Olympic and world champion. Oscarsson won two silver medals at the 1995 World Junior Championships in Yamanashi, Japan, finishing behind Hungary's Zoltan Kammerer in both the K1 500m and 1000m finals. He competed at the 1996 Olympics, reaching the K2 1000m final with partner Steffan Mlamsten. He then formed a highly-successful K2 partnership with Henrik Nilsson. Wikipedia
