Martin Sherman (b. 1939, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a screen writer and playwright, the son of Joseph T. Sherman and Julia Shermanof. He is openly gay, and has lived in London since 1980. Sherman attended the Boston University College of Fine Arts, and received a BFA in dramatic arts in 1960.
